J'ai le sm7b, le kms 105 et j'ai possédé le tlm 102, je trouve le son plus propre sur le tlm 102 et le kms 105 au niveau des effets appliqués mais le sm7b se place tellement mieux dans un mix, je trouve que le kms et le tlm manque de medium, de présence, de chaleur, de rondeur, comparé au sm7b...

I bought an SM7B from a seller in Hong Kong 2 weeks ago. I still haven't marked it as received so I can possible return it if I confirm it's fake. I risked it cause the site I buy from "Lazada" has a section called Lazmall which has a policy for 100% authentic items. If the item is fake I can get 2x the refund. I bought the mic cause it was $120 cheaper than the official store. Now I have my SM7B and everything so far checks out as legit. Checked the color of whites, the brass plate, screws, bevels, cable length, ect. Even the packaging of accessories are heat sealed instead of ziplock bags. Smell of the packaging itself is of a premium hardware unboxing. All looks legit except for only 2 things that is making me still doubt it, and I blame this video of those doubts. LOL! 1.) My Mic has 2 Shure logo stickers on both sides. (The ones on this video only has 1 while the other side is empty.) 2.) The sticker accessory I have is white at the back, while the one on this video has black for legit. (My sticker accessory doesn't have a white border though.) I'm still currently talking to info@shure.com.hk on their email and so far they answered me with just checking the serial number and saying its genuine. So I'm still waiting for their response about the sticker situation. The box of my SM7B is also of the new design with the Yellow logo and 7B.

The Mini K67x is the one that is Crazy good on vocals, especially male vocals. (maybe the K47x or Regular k47 on some female vocals). The K87 might be the model that's the most like the TLM103! In my opinion the mini K67x with the transformer sounds better than the TLM 103.... I like a transformer in a mic personally... It kind of sounds... More expensive, Believe it or not

No idea how you get the prices… Even Sweetwarter offers the TLM102 for "just" $749 - outside the US I pay 439 EUR for the Mini K47 and the TLM 102 is just 100 EUR more. Plus the resale value for Neumann is likely to be higher than a Roswell. ;) But yes, the mIni K47 offers a great value. No doubt.

When you sang the 2nd time and with the combination of guitar and vocal I liked the sound of the SM7B more, but that might be the youtube compression as well. Really wish there was a better way to watch video's like this with the original audio instead of the conversion/compression coloring the sound and removing the ultra high end. Really hard to hear the air of high quality equipment when its given such harsh lossy compression

I am a bit of an noob when it comes to sound. What i would say. Is yes a condenser picks up more sound. But that SM7B cuts through. The condenser gives you a bunch of sound I dont like. I love warm/dark. Plus I record in an untreated room and don't want to pick up too much. To me the SM7B wins. My voice lacks bass so I don't want more highs/presence.

i came here to hear a comparison between mics but i subbed cuz of the amazing voice and music... you are amazing, hope you have a spotify or something that i can use to listen to more of your singing.

my 2nd microphone is the AT2020 after my C-1 Samson, the AT2020 stopped working after 1 year and the warranty is over, bought my 2nd AT2020 and it stopped working again after 1 year... yes my two AT2020 is stopped working after 1 year, and then i bought Behringer B-2pro and using it for 10 years now

imho, shure sm7b always needs the dolby vocal trick ua-cam.com/video/pzhWvmmIIvc/v-deo.html

The Shure SM7B captures more of the low end and "soul" in your voice", while the TLM 102 thins out the low end but has a clearer high end. The TLM made your voice feel "thinner" so I would go with the Shure SM7B on this one. You can always eq and boost the highs later.

I have the TLM 103, its too bright for me, too sibilant. Every time i use it i have to EQ away -4 / -5 db in the 6k-10k hz range because of noise and unwanted frequencies. Its a super nice sounding mic otherwise tho, but for me its a waste. Probably better for pure singing rather than rap/rnb modern vocals. (for me) Im going to "downgrade" to a sm7b i think in the coming months, so that its easier for me to put effects on my vocal chain without worrying about sibilance and too much brightness
